Who I am

This website, suncoastforge.com, is run by SunCoast Forge LLC, a software consultancy in Tampa, Florida. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean SunCoast Forge LLC. This policy covers information collected through this website, by email sent to me through it, and by the SunCoast Forge Ads Tool described under Google user data.

What I collect and why

When you contact me

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, an optional project focus, and a message. If you email me directly, I receive whatever you include in that email. I use this information only to reply to you and to discuss the work you asked about. I don’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email.

When you browse the site

I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site: which pages are viewed, how long visits last, and which site referred you. Google Analytics collects:

• Your device type, browser, operating system, and screen size.
• Your approximate location, such as city and country. Google estimates this from your IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
• The pages you view and the site that referred you.
• Three actions: clicking my email address, clicking through from a case study to a client’s website, and sending the contact form. For the form, analytics records only that it was sent, never what you wrote.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify records basic technical details of each request, including your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and the time. These logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.

Cookies

The only cookies this site uses are Google Analytics cookies. _ga tells visits from different browsers apart, and _ga_* keeps track of the current visit. Both expire after up to two years. The site sets no advertising cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also stop Google Analytics on every site with Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies does not affect how this site works. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Who I share it with

I share information collected through this website only with the service providers that run it, and only so they can provide their services to me. Google Ads data is covered separately under Google user data.

• Netlify hosts the site and receives contact-form submissions (Netlify’s privacy policy).
• Google provides Google Analytics (Google’s privacy policy).
• My email provider delivers form notifications and our email conversation.

I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t share it for advertising. I may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SunCoast Forge LLC or others.

How long I keep it

• Contact-form submissions and emails: as long as I need them to reply and to handle any work that follows, and after that as ordinary business records. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
• Google Analytics data: no more than 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
• Server logs: for as long as Netlify’s own retention policy allows.

Your choices

Email Jared@SunCoastForge.com to ask what information I have about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. I’ll respond within 30 days. Before I act on a request, I may need to confirm that you control the email address involved. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local privacy law, and I’ll honor valid requests made under any law that applies to me.

Google user data (SunCoast Forge Ads Tool)

I use an internal tool, the SunCoast Forge Ads Tool, that connects to Google Ads through Google’s API. Here is how it handles the Google user data it receives.

• What it accesses. When an authorized SunCoast Forge user signs in with Google, the tool requests the Google Ads scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords). It accesses only Google Ads accounts that are linked to SunCoast Forge’s manager account with the account owner’s permission.
• How it’s used. The tool reads campaign settings and performance reports, and it makes the changes my clients ask me to make. I use the data only to manage the account owner’s own campaigns.
• Who sees it. Only I, and anyone I authorize to work on your account, view its data. We view it only to do the work you’ve asked for, or when security or the law requires it.
• Sharing. I share this data only with the client who owns the account, and with service providers that host or process it for me solely to run the tool. I use only providers whose terms prohibit them from using it for their own purposes, including training AI models. I don’t sell this data, use it for retargeting or personalized advertising, or use it to train AI models.
• Protection. Credentials are stored securely on systems I control, and only authorized SunCoast Forge users can use the tool. Data travels between the tool and Google over encrypted connections.
• Retention and deletion. I keep Google Ads data only as long as I need it to work on your account. If you revoke access, unlink your account, or ask me to, I’ll delete the stored credentials and any Google Ads data I hold for that account within 30 days.
• Revoking access. You can revoke the tool’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or unlink your Google Ads account from SunCoast Forge’s manager account.

SunCoast Forge’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for responding to it, and this site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. You can still block Google Analytics using the options in the Cookies section. Apart from Google Analytics as described here, no third party collects information about your activity on this site.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I’ll delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and contact-form submissions are kept in an account with restricted access. No website or email service is completely secure, so please don’t send passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive information through the contact form.

Visitors outside the United States

I’m based in the United States, and the information described here is processed in the United States. It may also be processed in other countries where Netlify and Google operate. By using this site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred there.

Client engagements

This policy covers the website and the Ads Tool described above. If we work together, anything else you share during the engagement, such as code, credentials, business documents, or your customers’ data, is governed by our contract and any confidentiality agreement.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I’ll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top of the page.
